Drawing inspiration from sources as diverse as traditional string band music, Brazilian folk rhythms and hypnotic meditations from West Africa, these classically trained, expert improvisers have been wowing audiences in clubs and concert halls alike. Real Vocal String Quartet, formed in Berkeley, California in 2003 by Turtle Island String Quartet founding member Irene Sazer, is preparing to release their sparkling debut album. RVSQ brings the string quartet to a whole new world!
